Our Staff

The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.

Dr. Chad Rinehart
Dr. Chad Rinehart grew up in Shelby, North Carolina and graduated from Crest High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then went on to earn his DDS degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. While at the UNC School of Dentistry, Dr. Rinehart served as the American Student Dental Association-North Carolina Dental Society student liaison and was the student member for the Dental Foundation of North Carolina Board of Directors. He was also recognized for being on the Dean's List and during his final year he was awarded the Dental Friends Scholarship. Dr Rinehart is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Buncombe County Dental Society and the Blue Ridge Dental Study Club.

After Dental School, Dr. Rinehart and his wife Ashley decided to come back to Western North Carolina to live in Asheville, about an hour and a half from their hometown. They have lived here and Dr. Rinehart has been in practice in Asheville since 2004. Dr Rinehart and his wife have two children. Their first child, Mary Emma, just turned 3, and they recently had their second child, Laura, born in December 2008. They have been members of Biltmore Baptist Church since they moved here and are actively involved in many things in the church. When not working or spending time with his family, Dr. Rinehart enjoys sports. He has played for his church softball team for the past 4 years. He is also an avid North Carolina Tarheel basketball fan.

 

Anna Gwennap, RDH
Anna is originally from Lexington, North Carolina, where she graduated from Lexington Senior High. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently, she is up to date on her CPR certification, NC Dental Board License, and all required continuing education.
When Anna and her husband Ty decided to more to Asheville, Ty was excited to be going back to his hometown and Anna has always loved the mountains. Since being in Asheville, Anna has taught a radiology (x-ray) course for dental assisting students at AB Tech. She also enjoys playing tennis, singing with a small women's ensemble at Arden Presbyterian Church, and of course, cheering on her beloved UNC Tarheels!

 

Courtney McHone, Dental Assistant
Courtney is a native to Leicester, North Carolina, and graduated from Erwin High School. She then went on to AB Tech to receive her degree in Dental Assisting. After graduation from Dental Assisting school, she married Ben, also a native of Leicester. Ben and Courtney still reside in Leicester and attend Freedom Baptist Church. She enjoys decorating and entertaining at their home and cheering on the UNC Tarheels. Courtney is currently up to date with CPR and first aid certification.
